Dr. Mark Paquette – Victoria Optometrist
Dr. Paquette was raised in Victoria, and is proud to call the area home. He completed a science degree from the University of Victoria in 2006, and graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in June of 2013.
Dr. Paquette has had an interesting career path in health care. He spent five summers as a member of a fast response/search and rescue team for the Canadian Coast Guard, and four years as a personal trainer. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Paquette completed an ocular health externship in Florida, which focused on the diagnosis, treatment and management of eye diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.
He has participated in two volunteer eye care missions to impoverished areas of Central America, and currently visits remote B.C. First Nations villages 2-3 times per year for eye care. Dr. Paquette looks forward to growing his career here in Oak Bay caring for patients of all ages.
