WARRANTY
It is our priority to help with your eyewear needs and this service continues even after you pick up your new glasses.
If you experience any issues with the vision or fit of your glasses, or require a repair or warranty assessment, we’re here to help.
In most cases, it is best to visit an Eyewear Specialist in-store for a troubleshooting appointment.
FRAMES
Your new frames have a manufacturer’s defect warranty (exclusions may apply). The warranty period will differ from brand to brand, but is most commonly 1-2 years for manufacturer’s defects. Your warranty begins on the original date of purchase.

Finding a well-fitted frame begins with the selection process, however, you may require a minor alteration for optimal comfort. If you’ve picked up your new glasses and experience any agitation, visit us for a custom adjustment.
Over time, your glasses may require a little maintenance. We offer complimentary adjustments, replacement nosepads, and deep cleaning for the lifetime of your glasses.
LENSES
Your new lenses include a manufacturer’s defect warranty (exclusions may apply). The warranty period will differ from brand to brand, but is most commonly 1-2 years for manufacturer’s defects. Your warranty period begins on the original date of purchase.
Selecting the most ideal lenses for your needs and prescription begins when you first sit down with an Eyewear Specialist. It is common for your eyes to take a couple weeks to adjust to new lenses. If you’re still experiencing any difficulty with your new lenses after this time period, it is best to sit down with an Eyewear Specialist in-store.

Often, an adjustment to the frame is all that is required to help improve your vision. However, if a change to the prescription or lens design is needed, our Eyewear Specialist will advise you on the next step.
Most companies we work with offer a one-time remake within a limited time period (which differs based on the company and lens design) after the original purchase date.
What is NOT considered a Manufacturer’s Defect?
You may have noticed, your frame and lens warranties are for manufacturer’s defects, which is considered to be damage due to the manufacturing process.
What is NOT covered, any damage that has been done during daily wear, such as sitting on, stepping on, dropping, or driving over your glasses, chewed glasses (thank your puppy), scratches from putting your glasses in a bag or pocket unprotected (we recommend using a hard case), damage from leaving your glasses in the heat or sun, lost glasses, etc.
Sadly, your glasses are not invincible and are suceptible to signs of wear over time and damage if not properly cared for.

CARE
Here a few things you can do to take care of you glasses and prevent unwanted damage:
- Always place your glasses in a hard case if they’re not on your face.
- Never place your glasses lens side down, this can scratch the lenses.
- Never place you glasses in a bag or your pocket without a case to prevent scratching.
- Keep you glasses away from high heat, which can damage the lens coatings and finishings on frames. Some examples include: leaving you glasses in your car (including the dashboard and glove compartment) when it is hot and sunny, wearing your glasses in a sauna or hot tub, exposing glasses to steam from boiling water or opening the dishwasher, etc.
CLEAN
Here are some tips for cleaning your glasses so they stay in tip top shape.
DO:
- Wash your frame and lenses using lukewarm water (never hot) and a moisturizer-free mild soap to eliminate oil and debris buildup.
- Use a micro fiber cloth when drying and cleaning your lenses.
- Stick to using AR cleaning spray specifically made for eyewear. (We offer complimentary refills on our AR lens cleaner, just bring your bottle by the clinic).
DON’T
- Never use strong chemicals when cleaning your glasses (Windex is for windows not eyewear!).
- Avoid using tissue, paper towel, or your t-shirt to clean your glasses, the fibres are abrasive and can scratch your frame and lenses.
FAQ
Do you replace nose pads?
Yes! Bring your frame into the clinic and we will set you up with fresh nose pads.
My frame broke during edging, what now?
When we’re putting lenses into an older frame it is at the clients own risk.
