Dr. Jordan Kassouf – Victoria, BC Optometrist
Dr. Jordan Kassouf grew up just south of Montreal, completing his undergraduate studies at McGill University and earning his Doctors of Optometry degree, in French, from the Université de Montréal. Fully bilingual, he’s always happy to care for patients in either English or French, and won’t miss a beat if you switch mid-sentence!
Dr. Kassouf served as the student representative on Council of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and as President of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students where he was involved in student leadership and national advocacy for the profession. Upon graduation, Dr. Kassouf received the Doctor of Optometry Award, recognizing the highest overall achievement of his class, as well as Excellence Awards in contact lenses.
Patients often know Dr. Kassouf for being thorough, attentive, and easy to talk to. He has a strong eye for the small things, making sure everything is carefully checked, and he places a lot of value on making sure patients leave feeling reassured and confident about their eye health. His approach is both analytical and easygoing. He tends to take his time to explain things clearly (and occasionally sneaks in a joke or two along the way).
Outside the clinic, he’s happiest on the water. A longtime sailor, he’s been making the most of the move from Québec to coastal life in Victoria; this summer, he’s attempting to add windsurfing to the mix.
