Kevin Hua is originally from Vaughan, Ontario, and is excited to be practising in Victoria. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo and holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from McMaster University. He is a proud member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO) and the British Columbia Doctors of Optometry (BCDO), and is certified to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA). He was honoured by the BCDO as Young Optometrist of the Year in 2021.
Dr. Hua has been practising since 2018 and is passionate about building meaningful connections with is patients. He enjoys caring for individuals of all ages and takes the time to understand what matters most to each patient. He is dedicated to helping patients see clearly and confidently in their everyday activities. He takes a patient-centred approach to care, guiding patients through their options so they can make informed and confident decisions about their eye health, with a focus on early detection and prevention to maintain healthy vision over time.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Hua enjoys exploring a variety of hobbies, including running, climbing, backpacking, and photography.
