RAEN: SoCal Influence and Design

Founder’s Justin Heit, Jordan Percy, and professional surfer Jeremy Heit started RAEN in 2008. Inspired by their hometown of Oceanside, California, each design is influenced by the eccentricity and uniqueness of Southern California.

RAEN is an independent company using premium materials to create fashion-forward optical frames and sunglasses. Each acetate is hand-picked and originates from the renewable resources of wood pulp and natural cotton fibers.

Rather than colour being sprayed on, these acetates have the hue embedded within the material. This allows the acetates to retain their brightness rather than fade over time.

All RAEN sunglass lenses are manufactured by Carl Zeiss. They are CR-39 material with both tinted and polarized lenses available, in addition to offering 100% UVA and UVB protection. All sun lenses can be swapped for prescription sun lenses (this is where we come in handy) or can be worn without a prescription.
